Ladies and Gentleman,
Challenge Council Meeting for NCYSA will be held Sunday, Nov 21, 2004 at the NCYSA State Office in Greensboro. It will begin at 10:00 AM and lunch will be served. Attached with this memo is the preliminary agenda for this meeting but I wanted to personally tell you about one of the topics on the agenda.
The Classic Council has requested Challenge Council to consider eliminating the NCYSA State Cup Championships for the U10, U11, and U12 age groups, boys and girls, and replacing it with a Spring Festival for these ages. It is my understanding that Classic Council is recommending this for Classic. I’ve already had much discussion on this topic, both for and against, from our members. We will discuss this request from Classic and it is my intent to establish the Challenge Council policy on this issue during this meeting.
I want to urge each of you to attend Challenge Council on Nov 21. If you can’t, make arrangements for someone from your club to attend in your place. They will be able to vote in your place as long as they have a signed Proxy from your club president. You can pull a copy of the Proxy from the NCYSA Website.
