Recounted the August 22, 2004 District 1 meeting in Wilmington in which Administrative members were elected (see Minutes from Aug. 22 meeting for more details). Discussed the first District 6 meeting to be held September 19, 2004 in Hendersonville. Also began to focus on the kickoff meeting for District 2 by speaking with the CASL Representative and the possibility of CASL aiding in the formation of that District.
2004 Chevrolet Recreation State Cup - Prelims to be held Nov. 6-7 in Shelby and possibly Greenville. Finals will be Nov. 13-14 in Greensboro. Applications to apply will be available online September 7, 2004.
Read and reviewed the proposal to increase the registration fee beginning with the 2005-06 registration year by $1. This proposal will be voted on at the 2005 AGM. The proposal states that $0.60 of this dollar will go toward Recreation for coaching education and improving the overall Rec program. The other $0.40 will go toward the ODP/State Select program.
Ways to improve the Recreation section of the NCYSA website – Links should be put on the Recreation web page for coaching courses, Youth Modules, council meetings and anything relating to this level of play.
Next Council meeting could be held at the end of November in the Durham area.
