THE BAD NEWS - SESSION HAS ENDED!

The Legislative Session for 2009 has come to an abrupt end after the adoption of the 2009-2011 fiscal year budget.  Leaders decided to conclude the session immediately after the budget bill because the session had already run a month long.  According to legislative aides, many legislative bills were left tabled, include ALL the Specialized License Plate bills.  SUPPORT SOCCER was one of a purported 40 left unconsidered in this session.

THE GOOD NEWS - WE'LL BE BACK!

The SUPPORT SOCCER legislation will be on the docket for the 2010 "Short" Session.  Sponsor support remains strong.  Further UPDATES will be posted toward the end of the year.

The NC Dept. of Transportation has advised that the Final Design & Pre-Registration of the license plate begin AFTER the NC General Assembly adopts the law.

Consequently, the contest & pre-registration efforts are "on hold" until the law is adopted.  Mass communication will go out to the entire soccer community once it is law!
