Congratulations to all the participants
of the NC Adult State Cup in Asheville.
On behalf of NCASA we thank you for your
participation in helping to make the event a big
success despite the less than favorable weather
conditions and last minute modifications to the
schedule. Feedback has been very favorable.
Special thanks has to be given to our hosts at
ABYSA and ABASA. Mike Rottjakob
and Schell Alexander of ABYSA,
as well as Jack Brown and the
ABASA board were critical to
our success. Daniel Burak
and Andy Love, as well as all
the match officials rolled with the changes and
we are thankful for your work on behalf of the
event. The NCASA Board (all volunteers who
love the game) were central to the success of
the event, particularly Bill Sweeney,
John Bouda, Sam Brubaker & Darius Ejlali
(President) who journeyed to Asheville to help
however they could. To the trainers,
Carrie, Tami & Rebecca, there
are a lot of players who are grateful for your
attention and dedication in keeping us well
cared for - myself included! And of course
to the great work of Rachel Brubaker
at the office getting the teams' roster and
registration all sorted out in time for the
event.

This schedule is subject
to change in the event of removal/dropping of
teams and/or weather conditions. Changes
will be notified as quickly as possible.
Version 1.0 - Original
Versions 1.1 - Match times moved back 30
minutes on both days. Last Men's Over 50
match on Saturday to be played at 5pm at
Memorial Stadium.
Poseidon Plan
- The impact of rain for the last 24 hours in
the Asheville area has great news for the
drought stricken area, but less so for the NC
Adult State Cup. The
GOOD NEWS is
Asheville has 5 turf fields that will allow the
event to go on. Consequently, all matches
will be played at either Memorial Stadium or
John B. Lewis Soccer Park (Directions below)
with the first matches
STARTING at 8AM.
Round robin and consolation matches will be
reduced to 35 minute halves with 5 minute half
time breaks and 15 minutes between matches.
It is critical to get matches started on time to
avoid daylight issues at the end of the day.

TEAM CHECK IN & CAPTAINS MEETING
(Read and download items)
Additionally, NCASA is allowing captains to
check in their teams prior to arriving in
Asheville in either Raleigh or Greensboro.
In checking your team in prior to Friday, you
will be required to complete each of the items
on the
Team Registration Check Off List.
Captains
MUST inform NCASA at least a
day in advance of their intention of early check
in, particularly if it will be in Raleigh, so
that your rosters can be ready for your arrival.
If you wish to check
in your team in Raleigh, you may do so
ONLY on Thursday
between the hours of 11am and 4pm at the
office of the
Triangle Adult Soccer League.
Please call the
TASL office at 919-341-4554 in anticipation
of your arrival. Ask for Donna or
Andy.
If you wish to check
in your team in Greensboro, you may do so
ONLY on Thursday
between the hours of 11am and 4pm at the
offices of
North Carolina Soccer.
Please call the
NCASA office at 336-856-0702 in anticipation
of your arrival. Ask for Rachel or
Diego.
The
Captains Meeting
is scheduled for Friday, November 14th
at 9pm at the
Rodeway Inn & Suites for
those that do not check their teams in early.
There will be a sign in the lobby as to where to
go.

to play the Final on an alternate date and

Near the WNC Nature Center - From I-240
take the Fairview Road exit (Home Depot
East) and head east toward McDonalds and
Burger King. At end of road at
stoplight, turn right on Swannanoa River

straight at the bridge (WNC Nature
Center is located on right beyond
bridge).
