The National Cup Competition is the oldest and most prestigious soccer tournament in the United States for any person who is a member of a team playing in a league of four or more teams affiliated with the United States Soccer Federation and the United States Amateur Soccer Association.

 

The competition began in 1914 for the Men's Open Cup. In 1923, the Men's Amateur Cup was added, In 1980 the Women's Amateur and Over 30 Cups were begun.

 

Each year, some 600 teams across the United States participate in the National Cup Competition. 600 Teams! Of these, only 8 teams will become a National Champion in one of the 8 following divisions:

 

Men's Competitions

  • Men's Open Cup

  • Men's Amateur Cup

  • Men's Over 30 Cup

  • Men's Under 23 Cup

Women's Competitions

  • Women's Open Cup

  • Women's Amateur Cup

  • Women's Over 30 Cup

  • Women's Under 23 Cup

2005 Fees that are required to be submitted to Region III are as follows;

  • $150.00 + $25.00 (Regional Fee) = $175.00 for all cups but Open

  • $200.00 + $25.00 (Regional Fee) = $225.00 for all Open entries

Deadlines:

  • All applications and fees not later than April 1, 2005 to NCASA.

  • State Winners/Designees declared May 9, 2005

  • Final regional rosters due May 9, 2005

  • Region III Coaches Meeting, Plano, TX on May 26, 2005

  • Regional Tournament, Plano, TX from May 27-30, 2005

  • USASA National Cup Finals, Frisco, TX from August 5-7, 2005
