Registration
Software
NCASA
now offers free software to allow affiliated
leagues to enter and submit their registration
electronically.
Software
Registration Information:
* Players are
entered into the system on your league's
computer. If they have a player number from a
previous registration, that is used. If not, the
number field is left blank and a number will be
assigned for them at the State Office.
* When
a portion of registration is completed at the
league level, the records are sent to the State
Office by e-mail. Player passes, stickers and
team rosters will be returned to the league.
* Additional
players may be entered at any time and sent to
the state office in the same manner.
* The
processed records from the state office can be
returned to your league with their assigned
player numbers. A utility in the program places
the assigned number into the player records in
your system so those numbers will be available
for registration in the coming year.
Software
Registration Benefits:
* This
significantly reduces the turnaround time for
getting player passes and rosters returned from
the State Office and it provides a local
resource for managing the league.
* At
any time the system operator can pull up a list
of the players currently playing on any team,
can print a list of those players for reference
purposes (note: this is NOT a roster) and can
search for any individual within the database to
see if that person is playing, and if so, on
what team.
* Other
features in the software allow you to create and
edit team information (including contact
information), remove from the database teams
that are too small to compete, rename teams (and
rename the team in player records as well) and
send the team information to the State Office
(much the same as sending the registration
information).
* You
can print a team directory, which includes team
contacts, for use in your league. You can also
print various sets of mailing labels from the
information in your database. These can be used
to contact players or team contacts when you
have information that needs to be sent to
everyone.
* Utilities
allow you to view the contents of the data
tables, print folder labels for each of the
teams (to put on file folders) and export the
contents of the data tables to an Excel file if
you want to use the registration information in
this popular spreadsheet program.
* A
separate data table is available to use for
keeping track of league officers, referees or
others who are important to your league
programs, but who are not registered players.
The information in this table is not sent to the
State Office.
* In
order to take advantage of this software you
must have an IBM PC or compatible computer
running Windows 98 or later operating system. A
printer is necessary to print any of the reports
or mailing labels. The printing is set for a
generic printer driver. It is possible that some
models of printer might not work correctly. All
of the current models from the major desktop
printer manufacturers should work.
If your
league would like to try the software please
have the league president or registrar contact
the NCASA state office.
