Weather in Fayetteville is among the most ideal
in North Carolina for outdoor activity. Highs
barely reach the bottom side of the 90s in the
summer, and cools off wonderfully in the evening
into mid 60s giving the area a median average of
mid 70 to 80 with minimum rainfall in the early
summer.

DINING & NIGHTLIFE
Fayetteville boasts hundreds of dining options
ranging from the fine to the fast, and from the
American to the eccentric, take your pick. The
Fayetteville Convention and Visitors Bureau’s
website lists 65 different restaurants ranging
in 19 different taste options, including
Caribbean, German, Korean, Seafood, Thai and
Vietnamese to go with your traditional options
of Chinese, Japanese, Italian, American, Pizza,
Steak, etc. That doesn’t include any of the
fast food varieties or the scores of nightlife
options that also serve fare and libations!
North Carolina Adult Soccer will be approaching
many of these eateries for possible sponsorship
of and catering for the tournament. As the

establishments Fayetteville enjoys for your

MEDICAL SERVICES
The cornerstone of Cape Fear Valley Hospital
was laid in 1954, and the hospital opened in
1956 as a 200-bed county hospital. Today, the
medical center is a robust 426-bed medical
center located in the growing metropolitan city
of Fayetteville, N.C. (population 100,000) in
Cumberland County (population 300,000).
Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is an
acute-care hospital offering quality care in
open-heart surgery, home health and hospice,
cancer treatment, maternity services, emergency
medicine, pediatric intensive care, wellness
programs and more.

Baseball - Fayetteville Swamp Dogs--J.P.

Football - Experience the football team for
hometown heroes! The Fayetteville Guard
is the area's only professional indoor football
team. The season runs from March to the middle

Watch the Cape Fear Thunder take on other
teams like a storm! The Independent Women's
Football League (IWFL) is a full tackle women's
football league focused on creating a positive,
safe and fun environment for the women who play
the game and the fans that come out to watch
them Games take place at John Daskyll Stadium.

Auto Racing - Fayetteville Motor Sports
Park--The drag strip features Professional E.T.
and Street E.T. drag racing on a 1/4 mile track
with a 200-foot concrete starting line Mar-Oct,
Sunday 10 am, sanctioned by the International
Hot Rod Association. The speedway features stock
car dirt-track racing on an oval .4-mile clay
track April -Sept., Sat. nights, 7 pm. Streetcar
