Traveling Out of State

If your team wishes to travel to an out-of-North Carolina tournament or play in a match outside North Carolina USASA/USSF rules and insurance require that your team MUST complete an Application for Travel.  The primary reason for this is if you get injured out of state, your NCASA supplementary insurance will only cover you if you have received travel clearance.  Travel Clearance is granted on a per tournament basis.

OUT OF STATE PLAYERS
Players registered outside of North Carolina with a valid USASA Player Pass MAY require a separate Travel Clearance from their home state.  Check with event rules and with the player’s home state office.  Out of state players will not appear on the tournament roster, only on the guest player roster.

PROFESSIONAL vs. AMATEUR ELIGIBILITY
Check the event rules for professional player eligibility, if this is an issue for any of your players.  Professional players can only apply for Amateur Reinstatement with the US Soccer Federation.

Only the NCASA State Office can issue a Travel Clearance to a North Carolina team.

If you have any questions, please contact the State Office.
