Discipline and Appeals Education

NC Youth Soccer will provide articles and information to help our members better understand processes of the Discipline and Appeals Program. Please email Mark Moore with questions.

FIFA has announced changes to the Laws of the Game. The changes will go into effect on August 1, 2019. Below are links for the details and summary of those changes, as well as a simplified explanation - created by NCYSA and the NCSRA (NC Soccer Referees Association).

There are some extensive changes to the Laws. Coaches, players, parents, as well as referees are all going through the same transition. Let's show everyone a little grace and patience as we get used to the revisions!

Every new season, we learn from the data of our past season. As you read through the four-page Fall 2019 Preseason Education Emphasis, you'll see that Spitting, Discriminatory Actions, Abusive Language and Violent Conduct were a large part of the total ejections.

We hope you will help your members, coaches, teams, players and parents understand the emphasis of our education.

NOTE: Last spring, there were NO REPORTED SPECTATOR EJECTIONS. We feel that's a great testament to 0ur local associations and their educational work!
