ODP – REGISTRATION

The North Carolina Olympic Develop Program is a certified U.S. Soccer Talent Identification Program. Talent Identification Programs use Birth Year Age Groups.

The 2026-27 NC ODP program is for players born in the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015.
*Players born August 1st – December 31st, 2009 may register to participate in the 2010 Age Group; however, these 2009 players are not eligible to be selected for the 2027 USYS South Region ODP Summer ID Event.
*Players born in 2016 may register to be evaluated with the 2015 age group.*  

NOTE: FIFA requires International Clearance for all players born in a foreign country, including US citizens born abroad. Please read the USSF Minimum ITC Requirement document attached here for more information. If you have additional questions, please contact the NCYSA Registration department.

Initial registration for the 2025-26 NC ODP season:

• Open between May 12th and July 30th
• $100 for 2 evaluation sessions (see NC ODP calendar – August 2025)
• Players that registration during this Initial Registration are also encouraged to attend Evaluation #3 in November (attendance cost TBD)

​*Please note that once the May- July registration window closes, you will not be able to register for the 2025-26 NC ODP season again until the September.

Secondary registration for the 2025-26 NC ODP season:

• Open between September 8th and November 19th
• $100 for 1 evaluation session (see NC ODP calendar – Nov/Dec 2025)
• Players who register during this time will only attend 1 evaluation session

Once online registration has closed in November, you will need to email the ODP Technical Staff at odp@ncsoccer.org to inquire about registration. Walk-up registration will NOT be accepted at any evaluation session for the 2025-26 NC ODP season.

North Carolina ODP Program Registration includes:

• Player Attendance at the initial three (3) Talent ID Centers
• Two (2) dri-fit numbered ODP Shirts which players will use for all NC ODP Programming
• NC Youth Soccer secondary player insurance in the vent of an injury at NC ODP Programming

North Carolina ODP Talent ID Centers are identification opportunities for top talent players to train and play games under the direction of the North Carolina ODP Talent Identification Staff. Talent ID Centers are designed to identify and evaluate top talents for Selection for North Carolina ODP Team Events (January, February, June) & the USYS South Region ODP Summer ID Event, while supporting their talent development.

2026-27 North Carolina Talent ID Center Dates, Times, and Locations is located in the ODP Calendar.

The 2015 age group will be divided into a East Region and West Region (East and West). During the registration process, 2015 (and 2016) players will select which Region they wish to participate in and will then attend Talent ID Centers at that Region’s location.

All other age groups (2010-2014) will attend Talent ID Centers at locations central to the state.

Players are expected to attend all the initial Talent ID Centers, if available.

If a player have a conflict with a Talent ID Center(s), it is not held against them. It simply limits their total number of observation opportunities.

If your child would like to participate in the NC ODP program but has conflicts for all Talent ID Centers in their age group, please contact NC ODP Director John Trice at john@ncsoccer.org prior to registering.

2026-27 NC ODP Fee Structure

2026-27 NC ODP Registration: $100.00 (covers initial three (3) Talent ID Centers)

NC ODP Talent Development (upon registration, players are invited to all Talent Development Centers): $50.00 per session

NC ODP Team Events (upon selection): $200.00 – $240.00 per event
